The Benefits of Custom Photography
We will provide a custom experience tailored for you, your style, your personality and your needs. Props can be supplied by you or selected by us - such as hats, blankets, baskets, etc. - which will be selected for your session.
A trained photographer, not an automated machine, will spend many hours editing your photos, removing blemishes, and providing creative effects to enhance your photographs.
About Session Dates
Babies rarely come when predicted and I will adjust our schedule as possible. Once your infant is born, please contact me and we will finalize your session date and time.
Babies are best photographed during their first ten days. They sleep better, don't have colic yet, and usually haven't started developing baby acne or cradle cap. If you are a C-section Mom, we can work out something.
I know that recovery can be slow and painful. Many of my clients have Dad around for the session to help out.
Free Consultation
Your first step is to arrange for a free consultation to be conducted either by phone, email or in person. We will set a tentative session date based on your due date. At your consultation, we will go over a checklist that includes the use of props, clothing, location heating, and more.
Post Processing
Each photograph is color balanced and individually edited. Proofs will be posted to a Private Folder on myImagez.com for your review. These images are prefect for posting to social media. I know you will be anxious, so we will have some samples up within two days that will be suitable for posting to social media. We will then provide you with your final selections based on the package you have selected at our consultation.
Pricing
The cost for your Custom Newborn session is $175 for two hours. Your package includes up to 25 individually edited and posted online for download, suitable for posting to social media. We will post all Proofs within two weeks of your session. Upon your selections, we will then provide you the print package you have selected. The "Basic Collection" is included.
Your Private Session
Sessions start with portraits of your baby on a beanbag or soft pillow.
After that, we will move on to some relationship poses with Mom, Dad and Siblings after which we will move on to photographing your newborn in the props that have been chosen.
Sessions generally last two hours or less and are conducted in the convenience of your own home. We use both natural and soft LED lights and avoid the use of a harsh flash.
