Whether it is a formal, casual or mini session, I am confident that we can work with your family to achieve the imagery desired. At your consultation, we address:

Subjects (who is going to be photographed);

Purpose (will these be for wall hangings, gifts, social media, scrap book, etc. );

Location (will we be shooting inside your home with natural surroundings or with a backdrop - or a location outdoors);

Clothing (what clothing will best compliment the family in the shooting environment and background chosen);

Poses (special poses that are wanted); and

Output Packages (social media, prints, etc.)
After Your Session
I know you will be anxious to see the results, so we will try to have some sample edited images up in a few days for your review that ups can download for social media. Within two weeks after the Session, we will have posted about 25 images for your review / selection process.
All prints, up to and including 16x24, are printed in-house using archival ink on museum quality paper that offers all of the rich tonality, depth, and feel of a traditional darkroom print. The heavy paper stock has a lightly textured surface, which adds depth and an elegant reflectivity to the finished print. It has a pleasant warm tone that adds natural richness to portraits.
Prints larger than 16"x24" are printed by a partner lab. Prints are provided ready for matting and framing.

On Location Sessions
All sessions will take place at a location of your choice and generally last less than two hours. Your session location may be a park, family farm, your home, etc. You may know a location that best represents your family. I want to capture you just as you are. I’ll encourage families to interact with each other, tell jokes and just have fun!
At Home: I will provide backdrops that we have selected during our Consultation. We can also use your indoor 'natural' surroundings if you wish. For studio-style setups, space can become an issue. We generally need an unobstructed area of 10'x10' for backdrops with studio lights.
Outdoors: Weather permitting, we can shoot outdoors at a location(s) of your choosing. Both wind, rain and extreme temperatures are factors to consider . Clouds can be a good thing by eliminating harsh lighting contrasts and natural 'squinting'.
In general, about 100 shots are taken in varying combinations of poses and of family members - parents with children, children alone, etc.
Pricing
The photo session fee is $150, $75 for each additional hour. Most sessions can be completed in two hours unless multiple locations are involved A travel fee may be charged for locations that are more than 35 miles from Baltimore Maryland. In-home "studio" setups include studio strobes, backdrops and require an adequate space (10'x10') for the setup. Special Editing and artist treatments are available and will be discussed in more detail at the Consultation.
Final Products
Your touched-up images will be uploaded to a Private, password-protected, Folder on myImagez.com for review and download for Social Media. We offer several print Print Packages for your consideration that are custom printed in-house, as well as optional gallery wraps and quality albums printed by one of our trusted third-party labs.
Our standard Family Portrait Session includes "The Basics Collection". However you may wish to create your own package.
